The NFL doesn't start for 100 days, but Monday was one of the wildest offseason days in recent memory. Two massive trades dropped that reshaped the league.
Myles Garrett is heading to the Los Angeles Rams. The Cleveland Browns traded their superstar pass rusher — and the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year — to the Rams in what's being called one of the biggest trades in NFL history. The Rams are going all-in on a Super Bowl run, pairing Garrett with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles is basically sprinting toward a championship, and the sportsbooks immediately shortened their odds.
A.J. Brown is now a New England Patriot. The Philadelphia Eagles sent the star wide receiver to New England in exchange for a 2028 first-round draft pick. Brown reunites with Mike Vrabel, his former coach, as the Patriots — who are the defending AFC champions — try to load up for another deep playoff run.

The NBA Finals are set: San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks, with Game 1 tipping off Wednesday in San Antonio. It's a dream matchup featuring the league's most exciting young star, Victor Wembanyama, against a red-hot Knicks team looking to end a 53-year championship drought. Most of the talk isn't about the headliners though — analysts say role players like Mikal Bridges (Knicks) and Dylan Harper (Spurs) could decide the series.
In other news, Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won his second consecutive MVP award — but called the season a "failure" after the Thunder were eliminated before reaching the Finals. The man holds himself to a high standard.
Also, legendary coach Rick Adelman passed away at 79. He won over 1,000 games and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.

The New York Yankees had one of the most absurd innings in baseball history on Sunday, scoring 13 runs in a single inning against the Athletics — including something that had apparently never happened before in MLB history. The A's also had a rough weekend because they're seeking answers from MLB after a replay system malfunction on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Shohei Ohtani's bat is heating up for the Dodgers, which is a terrifying thought for the rest of the league. The Detroit Tigers, meanwhile, are reportedly "in trouble" according to analysts after a rough stretch.

The Stanley Cup Final starts Tuesday between the Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes. Game 1 is in Vegas. The Golden Knights have the bigger stars — guys like Jack Eichel and offseason acquisition Mitch Marner — but Carolina is lauded for their incredible depth across the roster. It should be a great series between two teams built in very different ways.

Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby is at the center of a gambling investigation, and a judge is expected to rule Monday on whether he can regain his NCAA eligibility while the case plays out. Stay tuned — this could have big implications.
In baseball, Saint Mary's pulled off a stunning upset, eliminating top-seeded UCLA from the NCAA tournament with a 10-inning walk-off win. March Madness energy, but in June and on a diamond.
And in softball, Texas Tech eliminated UCLA (rough weekend for the Bruins) at the Women's College World Series with an 8-7 thriller in nine innings.
